In the ever-evolving landscape of recycling and waste management, the need for versatile, efficient, and cost-effective machinery is paramount. Enter the ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of shredders; the EvoQuip Caiman 150, compact but packed with the best of shredding technology. Engineered by Terex, this twin shaft, slow-speed shredder has been designed to cater to a diverse array of crushing and shredding applications.

The Caiman 150 is perfectly tailored for small to mid-size demolition contractors, recyclers and waste operators. These businesses often face the challenge of processing a wide range of materials without the budget for multiple, specialised machines.

One of the standout features of the Caiman 150 is its adaptability. It can handle various types of waste, including C&D debris, green waste, tyres, wood, concrete, skip waste, asphalt, and household waste. The secret to its versatility lies in its design: a simple shaft change, which can be completed in just an hour, allows operators to switch seamlessly between different types of waste. This flexibility ensures that the Caiman 150 can pivot quickly from crushing C&D materials like concrete slab to shredding tyres or green waste without missing a beat.

Moreover, the Caiman 150 offers four predefined shredding modes and the ability to customise settings. Each shaft can be programmed individually, maximising production and minimising wrappage and downtime.

Fully remote-controlled, operators can control the shafts via the machine display or a radio remote. The machine also features wear-resistant plates fitted to the chamber, ensuring durability and longevity.

Mobile Screening and Crushing, exclusive NZ distributors for both Terex EvoQuip and Ecotec equipment, is pleased to also offer this compact shredder unit via the Ecotec shredder Range, under the ‘TDS815’. All new Terex shredders sold by MSC in New Zealand come with additional features as standard, including an overband magnet, hydraulic folding conveyor, chamber camera with monitor, and reversible engine fan, which further enhance the shredder's performance.

The addition of a EvoQuip Caiman 150 compact shredder to the MSC hire fleet marks an exciting development for the local recycling market, with customers able to short term hire to shred and crush multiple products back to back.
