MSC adds to its ever-expanding portfolioSponsored
Mobile Screening and Crushing is the exclusive New Zealand distributor for the Terex Ecotec range of processing, biomass and recycling equipment.
MSC was formed over 25 years ago and, equipped with this experience, has developed a reputation for being committed to delivering innovative, quality solutions for difficult to process materials.
MSC already offers a comprehensive portfolio, which has expanded with the launch of the TTS 518, Terex Ecotec’s newest trommel – compact, yet uncompromised. The TTS 518 has been intuitively designed, offering operators unrivalled application flexibility, production rates and serviceability.
“The addition of the TTS 518 will further enhance an already significant range of screening products, aiding MSC to offer the complete package solution for entry level, medium and large-scale processing operations” says Dan Meikle, MSC operations manager.
Product focus – TTS 518
Inspired by the successful TTS 620, the TTS 518 has been designed as an entry level machine where lower volumes and smaller machine footprint are required. It is more compact without sacrificing key features.
"This TTS 518 is perfect for the New Zealand recycling market as an entry level machine, it is ideal for small to medium sized operations where space may be limited, or applications where lower volumes and a smaller machine footprint are required," says Meikle.
Optimised screening
The intelligent feed control system continually monitors the machine, adjusting the feeder speed to optimise screening performance and throughput.
Easy maintenance & material build-up prevention
- the TTS 518 shares the same intuitive control system and ‘push to start’ buttons used on the TTS 620, allowing the operator to effortlessly configure the machine to suit the required application
- the feeder has also been designed as a slide out cassette which allows for easy maintenance and quick and simple belt changing. The clear tunnel area underneath the feeder prevents material build up and allows any material in this area to drop directly onto the ground
- with double-sided drum access via 180 degrees opening side doors, maintenance and drum changes can be carried out with ease
- the swing out engine cradle provides unprecedented service access, enabling daily checks and maintenance to be carried out safely from ground level
- all the conveyors are fully modular, allowing each to be removed independently, with the fines and oversize also lowering to ground level for maintenance.
"Terex have really focused on efficiency, serviceability & maintenance access when designing this machine. It has amazing access to all belts, drum, engine, and hydraulics", says Meikle.
Adaptability
The TTS 518 has been designed to accept a number of other trommel manufacturers’ drums, enabling it to integrate seamlessly into an operator's existing fleet.
"The interchangeable drum with other manufacturers', is a feature that sets the TTS 518 trommel’s drum apart from a number of other drum designs," says Meikle.
Spiral Design
Providing a total screening area of 23m² the TTS 518 is fitted with a 1.8m x 4.7m horizontal drum with spiral design.
Efficiency
The TTS 518 comes with the latest engine technology complying with Stage V emissions standards.
The TTS 518 is fully equipped with the latest Stage V/Tier 4 engine (dual certified) engine and the latest intelligent screening technology. The TTS 518 delivers a superior and cost-efficient end-product, excellent fuel efficiency and low operating costs.
Versatile
Ideal for small to medium sized operations where space may be limited, the highly versatile TTS 518 is available in both tracked and wheeled variants and can screen a variety of materials including compost, biomass, soil, gravel and waste.
"The compact entry-level model TTS 518 is available in both tracked and wheeled configuration and, with a quick set-up time, the trommel is easily transportable", says Meikle.
“The TTS 518 model is the manufacturer’s most compact model yet and can be used on sites with limited space, making it an appealing machine for MSC’s rental fleet”, says Meikle.
