MSC represented at New Zealand’s 53rd Agricultural Fieldays – 2021, bigger, better than everSponsored
After two years, New Zealand Agricultural Fieldays® was back last week, located at Mystery Creek Hamilton on a 144-hectare site, putting behind it the Covid disruption that saw 2020’s event become virtual only. This year eager masses turned out in bumper-to-bumper volume to catch up with exhibitors and view actual hands-on equipment once again.
MSC’s marketing manager pulled out all the stops to ensure the four-day 2021 event went off without a hitch.
It’s been vital to have been part of this year’s event, getting our brands and services in front of over 132,776 visitors, and we are very pleased at the high levels of enquiries we received from prospective equipment purchasers.
Catrina Quinn, MSC marketing manager, commented:
“Our Sales team, products and services were proudly represented on display at Mystery Creek. It was great to meet and talk to folk about their requirements and how we can help with our equipment on offer for both hire and sales. We also got a chance to show off our new latest models of equipment and our services on offer too. New Zealand is a competitive market where customers have high expectations. Terex products especially suit this market with their proven performance.”
On Display
At this year’s show, Mobile Screening & Crushing NZ showcased the new Ecotec entry-level TTS 518T Trommel, a Evoquip TC65T (tracked stockpiler), the ever-popular Evoquip Colt 600 compact scalping screen (high capacity up to 280 tph) and a range of Lloyd Engineering 'screening buckets' (Output: 10-90 tph).
Tradeshow product launch – Terex Ecotec TTS 518T
The four-day Fieldays event proved to be the perfect platform to launch and reveal the TTS 518 to the New Zealand market.
The TTS 518 Trommel proved extremely popular with many visitors at the southern hemisphere’s largest agricultural event, considered the ultimate launch platform for technology and innovation.
“With having the TTS 518T trommel screen in prime position, out the front of MCS’s stand on the ‘heavy plant equipment’ avenue of Fieldays 2021, this was an ideal opportunity to market launch the ‘compact yet uncompromised’ Terex Ecotec Trommel,” commented Catrina.
The NEW highly versatile TTS 518T tracked trommel screen has once again been designed by Terex with the focus on offering operators unrivalled application flexibility, production rates and serviceability. The key features were on display, MSC had the two large swing-out doors opened, promoting the doubled-sided unrestricted drum access, that enables easy maintenance and service.
Dan Meikle, MSC operations manager, generated a daily crowded stand entrance when he conducted a product tech talk on the trommel’s design advantages; the swing-out engine cradle, when opened, generated a lot of interest from onlookers and even passers-by. Agricultural visitors were intrigued by the trommel screen's application versatility; specifically for processing materials such as compost, biomass, soil, woodchip, gravel and waste related products.
Dan also demonstrated on site how modern and user-friendly the push button control panel is, allowing operators to easily configure the machine to suit required applications.
Optimum utilisation of throughput is achieved with features such as automatic start / stop function and automatic feeder load-sensing mode.
Award winning Lloyd ‘Rotastar’ buckets
MSC was proud to have on display market-leading Lloyd Engineering screening buckets that attach to various sized excavators. These buckets fill the gap in the demand for smaller screening unit to process soils, compost and aggregates, that are well priced – yet still able to fulfil contractors’ requirements for a quality product and substantial throughput rates. Both Andy and Dan Meikle were on the stand to discuss with visitors how impressive these buckets are in a large range of very wet, difficult material.
Catrina commented: “The vibrant colours and sheer size of the buckets proved to be show stoppers on the heavy equipment avenue! Many asked at the show: what material are the flexible star elements? These are light weight, flexible, self-cleaning polyurethane”.
Terex TC65 tracked conveyor
The Terex Evoquip TC65 tracked conveyor can be hired as a stand-alone unit or works alongside one of MSC’s screeners or crushers. The 65 ft stackers come fitted with belt scales to accurately track your TPH. Conveyors increase the amount of material that can be stockpiled without loader or machine movements. MSC offers reliable & efficient material handling and stockpiling solutions NZ wide for sale and hire.
Fieldays 2021 – What a show, of product exhibition, people engagement and interaction activity!
Catrina would like to express a huge ‘thank you’ to all who visited the stand. Thanks to all those who made the show's success possible, special credit to the event hosts and to the show organizers for such a well-run event.
Andy Meikle, MSC director commented:
“Overall we are delighted with show results, we have returned from a few exciting days. Being official distributors for Terex Evoquip, Terex Ecotec and Lloyd Engineering enables MSC to offer complete crushing, screening and recycling solutions to our customers. We were impressed with the sheer volume of visitors that came to see our machinery on display.”
"We look forward to the next exhibition, which offers our NZ customers the unique opportunity to see these units and to discuss new machines.’’
Catrina Quinn, marketing manager, commented:
“We are delighted with how the stand turned out and, with a greater number of visitors to our stand this year, the show was a tremendous success for many reasons – building relations, enquiries, orders received, brand exposure, and new opportunities. Fieldays is NZ’s unique gathering which has something for everyone. At Fieldays we understand the value of coming together to discuss new industry technology that shapes our business today and the future of this ever-changing industry.”
